Spreading the Word of God and Gospel in Pakistan
My name is Sajad Sheikh;
I am a Canadian-Pakistani, raised in a Muslim household in Sarnia, Ontario, who came to believe in Christ six years ago. Currently a seminary student, I have spent the last three years preaching, evangelizing, and proclaiming the Word of God. My wife, Maryam, and I serve together in the Lord’s work, though we face significant persecution for sharing the Gospel and the love of Christ in Pakistan.
As a new member of World Harvest Ministry of Canada, I am partnering with Missionary Bishop Russell Murray through Pakistan Gospel Outreach. Together, we plan to travel and minister the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ in Pakistan. We humbly ask for your prayers for our safety and for your financial support to help us fulfill God's will.
Our mission is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ in Pakistan, one of the largest populated Muslim countries in the world and one of the most dangerous places for Christians. Here, speaking the truth of the Bible can lead to blasphemy accusations punishable by death. We aim to share the love of Christ, stand for justice for the persecuted, and provide social programs to meet basic needs while sharing God’s redemptive story. Our goal is to help churches grow so they can continue their vital ministries within the community.
By providing resources and physical protection, we empower local believers to remain steadfast in their faith despite the risks. We believe that by meeting these desperate social and spiritual needs, we are planting seeds of hope in a land where the light of the gospel is needed most.

A sad reality is that many Christians in Pakistan are born into the faith by lineage rather than choice. Without true faith, the fear of persecution and a lack of financial opportunity often lead them to convert to Islam for equality. To counter this, we are teaching and training pastors who were never properly equipped due to a lack of education and resources. We are empowering them to fulfill Matthew 28:19: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
We are currently raising funds for specific needs across our churches:Safety & Infrastructure: A door and gate for a new church plant; a safety railing for a second-floor church where a fall onto the cement could be catastrophic for children and the elderly.
Operational Tools: A basic sound system (soundboard, speakers, microphone) and a UPS battery system to cope with "load shedding," as many get only 12 hours of electricity a day. Missionary Support: One pastor earns only $50 a month (well below the $200 minimum wage) to support a family doing full-time ministry. Education: Books, staples, and literacy programs so the uneducated can learn to read their Bibles. Our vision for 2027 is to establish a Bible School and launch three new church plants in rural areas.

Your donation plants churches, trains Pastors, and feeds Children of Mercy.
